Hap and Leonard plot

A dark comic story set in 1980 about two good friends, a femme fatale, a group of failed revolutionaries, a couple of murderous psychopaths, some lost booty and the police. Based on the story written by Joe R. Lansdale, the series follows Hap Collins, a white boy from East Texas with a weakness for Southern women, and Leonard Pine, a gay black Vietnam veteran with a short fuse. When Hap's seductive ex-wife Trudy resurfaces with a deal they can't refuse, an easy way to get rich turns into bloody chaos.
