Awake plot

One day, Detective Michael Britten, along with his family, is in a serious car accident. From that moment on, his life mysteriously begins to unfold in two alternate realities. One in which his wife died in the crash, and one in which his son died in the crash. Michael's alternate lives have only a few similarities. In both worlds, he has to solve crimes for the police. He also visits a therapist in both realities. Because what is actually going on? Is this real or just a dream?
