Bram Vermeulen traveled extensively as a correspondent on the continent of Africa between 2001 and 2009. Since then, the countries he visited have changed drastically. In eight episodes he travels through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Angola and examines the changes. What does it mean that Africa is "booming"? And what are the consequences for the people Vermeulen met and left behind at the time? He travels by train, moped and Rolls Royce, meets miners, farmers and wealthy oil barons and rediscovers the southern tip of the continent.
