Some very infamous names in season 2 of 'Born to Kill?'. Again in that understated style with fairly complete (but what is complete - you never really know everything) biographies of the bad guys in question, and one bad girl, Aileen Wuornos - although you should really also count Carol Fugate, the temporary companion by Starkweather (and together the inspiration for Oliver Stone's 'Natural Born Killers'). I've seen one or more movies about all the killers except Richard Trenton Chase.

The question of whether they were born killers or not is a bit of 'looking over the counter' in hindsight, in my opinion. It is certainly interesting to reason it, and often the theories and the psychologization are quite plausible, but it is never watertight. The backgrounds of the killers are also often very different, whereby you can also say that other people who have experienced similar misery in their youth (where it often comes / seems to come from) ultimately do not come to such violent behavior.

But it remains a fascinating series and, again, one of the best in the field. That is also because those involved from that time (sometimes victims who managed to survive, sometimes relatives and sometimes detectives who were on a case) often speak extensively and that regularly touches me.

5.0*.
