The series is set 40 years in the future, when traveling through the solar system is no longer science fiction, but a thriving multi-billion dollar business. Ryan Clark is the confident and friendly captain of "Avenue 5" - a space cruise ship with luxurious amenities such as gourmet buffets, spa, observation deck and yoga classes. Among the 5,000 passengers is billionaire Herman Judd, the face and name behind Avenue 5. At the start of the eight-week journey around Saturn, everything is still normal. But when the ship suddenly experiences technical problems, it's up to Ryan and his crew to calm the disgruntled passengers and find a way to handle unexpected events on board.
