Spawn plot

Al Simmons, an African-American employee of the US government, is killed while working as a CIA assassin. Entirely devoted to his wife Wanda, Al sells his soul to the devil - Malebolgia - in exchange for a second chance on Earth. However, Malebolgia has sent him five years into the future, with no memories, and in the unrecognizable form of Spawn, a being with superhuman powers. Spawn battles all kinds of dark forces on Earth, but also has to deal with the evil within himself.
