Kairākau plot

Kairākau chronicles the world of the historical Māori warriors, the kairākau. The series begins before the arrival of the English in New Zealand. Each season explores a different era, conflict, and legendary figures from Māori history. Traditional Māori storytelling is combined with martial arts-style combat.
