In addition to various Scandinavian crime series, I once ventured into this New Zealand crime/drama series. In terms of plots, the episodes of The Brokenwood Mysteries are not bad, but in the execution the silliness level is reasonably higher; kind of the kind of humor that I don't really like with these kinds of stories. The acting performances are just enough. In itself a reasonable pastime to watch this, but I much prefer to see a series such as Beck (1997 - 2023).
