Cape Fear plot

Anna and Tom Bowde are a happily married lawyer couple. Their carefully constructed lives are turned upside down when Max Cady, a notorious murderer they helped put behind bars years ago, is unexpectedly released from prison. Driven by an obsession with revenge, Cady begins stalking and terrorizing the couple.

Ik vond dit absoluut geen topserie, en inderdaad een langdradige onnodige remake. Bardem is soms een fantastisch acteur, zoals in mijn favoriete film "mar adentro", maar dit vond ik absoluut niet zijn beste rol, hij was eerder zwak. De drie sterren geef ik vooral voor de fantastische Amy Adams, voor de rest een serie die in weinig lijstjes gaat staan van beste series in 2026, wat ik zeer goed begrijpt. Het boeit niet genoeg en het duurt gewoon veel te lang....

I absolutely did not find this to be a top series, and indeed a long-winded, unnecessary remake. Bardem is sometimes a fantastic actor, like in my favorite movie "Mar Adentro," but I absolutely did not think this was his best role; he was rather weak. I give the three stars mainly for the fantastic Amy Adams; otherwise, it is a series that won't appear on many lists of the best series of 2026, which I understand very well.

It's not interesting enough and it just takes way too long....
