DCI Banks plot
'DCI Banks' is a British crime series about Alan Banks, a policeman from southern England, who is transferred to northern Yorkshire. He not only has to deal with horrific crimes, but also with a difficult boss and an initially suspicious colleague. The stories are based on the successful novels of Peter Robinson.

More than 10 years after the first episode I am introduced to this series and that is definitely a stroke of luck.
The figure of Banks is easy to place and the intrigue in which very often two murder cases are related and eventually become entwined is fascinating to follow.
Maybe I'll find another season and see if the good is confirmed.
