Between plot

Between is about Wiley Day, a pregnant teenager and daughter of a pastor who lives in Pretty Lake. Pretty Lake is also the place where a mysterious illness kills everyone over 22. Soon a quarantine zone is set up and the inhabitants of the town are left to their own devices.

Being razed to the ground on IMDB. Surprisingly, it has been renewed for a second season. Low ratings on IMDB are not that strange, since many viewers will have dropped out after an episode or three. It only gets more interesting in the last 2/3 episodes. It's kind of a mix between Under the Dome and Jericho. The first 3 episodes aren't great at all. Irritating characters (one stands head and shoulders above the rest, but in order not to come across as a total bastard I'll just leave out who that was), little real tension and mediocre acting by some of the actors. The advantage is that season 1 only has 6 episodes, of which the last 3 are worth it in my opinion, so you don't lose a lot of time with it if you don't like it. It has potential, but season 2 will have to be a bit better.

I watched three episodes and that was enough.

It is a soap opera that revolves around young adults who have their own police state. The mysterious illness is secondary. They make each other's lives miserable. The acting is deplorable. It is completely unbelievable that the ladies look top notch despite the hardships.

Oh well, I've written too much about it.
