Have Gun – Will Travel plot

In 1867, a gunfighter lives at the Carlton Hotel in San Francisco, who can be hired for a thousand dollars per assignment. Nobody knows the name of the man dressed in black, he is only known as 'Paladin'. In the Middle Ages, a paladin was the designation for a wandering knight and that is actually what Paladin is. He is a 'knight without armor', a gentleman who relies more on his common sense than his weapons. But when it comes down to it, Paladin makes excellent use of his Colt .45, his Winchester and the Derringer hidden under his clothes. Paladin is not an assassin, he selects his clients and will never fight for an unjust cause.
