The 2024 Golden Globes took place on Sunday evening and Oppenheimer emerged as the hit of the ceremony.

Each year, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association decides on the nominations and, ultimately, the winners.

The ceremony is designed to celebrate the best of film and television over a range of disciplines from the period between 1st January and 31st December of the previous year.

On the movie side of things, Oppenheimer was the big winner, taking home major awards including - Best Picture, Best Actor (Cillian Murphy), Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.), Best Supporting Actress (Emily Blunt), Best Director (Christopher Nolan) and Best Original Score (Ludwig Göransson).

With regards to television, Succession and The Bear were the most successful shows.
