John Rankin and Jim Manning and their gang members try to get their hands on Peggy Barlow's Tin Cup ranch. Rangers Dave Wyatt and Panhandle Perkins want to prevent this by law. Ranger Tex Haines sets out to bend the law after he is accused of murdering one of Rankin's men.
