The Cowboys plot
"All they wanted was their chance to be men... and he gave it to them."
Livestock trader Will Andersen is at a loss when his drivers suddenly abandon him. A financial loss is a fact if Will can't bring his cattle to market before the winter. Out of necessity, he calls on a group of schoolboys to guide his herds on the far and dangerous journey. The boys obviously lack the necessary experience, but Will only has the time to teach them the basics. Fortunately, he can count on the help of the black cowboy Nightlinger. In addition to all the natural obstacles the group must overcome along the way, to make matters worse, a group of dangerous cattle thieves follows closely behind.
