While riding his new horse Sinoya, young Clay Gibson accidentally finds the secret hideout of multiple murderer Tris Hatten. He immediately tells Sheriff Wade Adams, who strongly urges Clay not to tell anyone about this. Nevertheless, Clay does tell his father Tom. Tom believes that Adams wants to claim the fame and reward for himself and accuses Adams through the local newspaper. However, his father's move proves to pose a threat to Clay, as he is now the target of a killer who has hired Hatten's girlfriend Millie Street to exact revenge.
