Imdb scores this film a more than satisfactory 6.9. I can't say that about the reactions here. I had seen that massacre before, but I thought it was from the popular series Centennial. I thought it was a horrible massacre then. It's no different here. It is 'beautifully' portrayed. The beginning is also very nice, but the long middle section with the two bickering Cresta and Honus can be called quite irritating. One is very articulate, the other must have walked out of the Waltons or Little House of the Prairy. The gunseller wasn't a bestseller either.

The film has some pretty strange moves with serious themes and a forced novel that was supposed to seem funny. Too bad because it could have been an iconic film. The 4K is excellently made with a beautiful steelbook with an Indian quill.

Movie 3.5 (3.0)
