During a saloon shooting, a cowboy believes he has killed Prince Katey, a man he closely resembles. When Cannonball arrives, he mistakes the cowboy for Prince Katey and takes him to Katey's ranch. Katey's mother is in trouble and is in danger of being evicted from her ranch. Mothers thinks their son has returned and the cowboy decides he will help her in her struggle to keep the ranch. Meanwhile, he still has to deal with the sheriff who is after him.
