A few decent war scenes, but pure Bollywood junk. It might be based on a true story, but those Indian Rambos happily dying en masse for their people and country, nah...

I don't understand why this film still has such a high rating.

A decent war film. The true story starts off a bit slow. It takes a lot of time to build up and introduce the main characters. As a result, the film is a bit dull for the first hour. The second half focuses more on the battlefield and is full of action. It's a lot of the same old story, but it doesn't overdo it, as in most Bollywood action films. The ending evokes some emotion in the viewer. Visually, the film is very strong, with beautiful shots of the winter landscapes. 3.0

After "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", Farhan Akhtar once again plays an army officer in this film adaptation of the Sino-Indian War of 1962.

Despite the impressive story, the film contains some critical remarks. Some fight scenes feel artificial and staged. Unnecessary songs disrupt the immersion and pace of the film. Additionally, Chinese soldiers walk towards the Indian positions as if they are taking a leisurely stroll. Fortunately, the film manages to hold its own thanks to good choreography.
