Typical dime-a-dozen action movie from the nineties. Bruce Willis is an actor that I can have, but in my opinion can rarely wear a movie. Mercury Rising is a good example. It is an entertaining film in which you can still consider the presence of an autistic child as original. It does very little for me. Just like the role of Alec Baldwin, by the way. I was still amazed by the bizarre plot in which two government agencies work against each other. It's far from earth-shattering, but when you watch this once, with your mind blank, Mercury Rising is not an unpleasant entertainment.

Empty and annoying, that's how I would sum it up,

Simple story, predictable,

and little to no depth to be seen.

Willis also plays uninspired to me.

setback. *2.0

This was not bad for mere relaxation. I rarely watch a movie in one sitting at home... An autistic boy inadvertently cracks the code of a top-secret NSA program. To prevent him from falling into the hands of enemies of the state who can steal the code from him, the order is given to eliminate the child. Bruce Willis as a sidetracked FBI agent will protect the child after the death of his parents. Pretty good mix of drama and thriller.. simplistic and American, but Mercury Rising doesn't slow down over the entire playing time. 3* plus a half for Bruce Willis, who was still in his prime at the time.
