The Time Guardian plot
"Pray he's not too late."
In the future (24th century) the Earth has become uninhabitable. The last humans live in a domed city that also allows them to time travel. Despite this possibility, their enemy, the aggressive Jen-Diki (cyborgs), is able to find the city and during an attack the city is badly damaged. The city's leaders send Private Ballard (Burlinson) and historian Petra (Fisher) to the Australian desert in 1988 with the task of creating a suitable "landing site" for the city so that it can be repaired. However, the Jen-Diki get wind of this rescue and send their warriors after Ballard and Petra
