"Mandroid. Mercenary. Scientist. Ninja. Each one a specialist. Together they are ELIMINATORS!"

When a plane crashes, the pilot is rescued by an evil scientist. The scientist conducts all kinds of experiments on him. This transforms the pilot into a Mandroid (half human, half machine). Nice youth action movie. It's all very well-behaved and plays right into what a little guy like me used to think was cool: Ninjas, robots, time travel, explosions. The film has a brisk pace and is well put together. The effects are well done. Contrary to some other MM'ers, I didn't think it was all that bad. It is a cheaper, low budget film and it is aimed at young viewers. Inside, this is a nice mess with all the clichés to make it a good time. Don't expect depth or extremes.

Pretty fun nonsense from Charles Band and his Empire movies; with an (M)android, crazy scientists, time travel and goodness sake, a ninja (?!). It's all quite comic bookish with a lot of emphasis on caricatures and humour.

Director Manoogian would record the stronger Enemy Territory (1987) for Charles Band a year later. Violence is much stronger there. That is a bit missed here. It could all have been a bit harder to give it a superlative. Now it's kind of mediocre. Nice while it lasts, but no more than that.

2.5*s

Pretty fun for what it is - and mostly because it seems to be more about fun than anything else for everyone. And also a graphic proof that you don't have to have a huge budget to make a movie. Not that it's all brilliant or anything, but still fun to watch once. Although the effects are of course hopelessly outdated - in fact they were already then. But that is not the point. Just fun entertainment, that's all it should be.
