Nice movie. Just don't get why the scene where the 3 chicks are stripped naked by Overdog's helpers, ends so abruptly.

A real piece of junk actually, impossible to give this a sufficient, but at times entertaining due to the high camp content. The hunt for three kidnapped female astronauts all with the looks of a top model is quite hilarious, if it weren't for the fact that it all seems to be meant seriously. The images and the bombastic music at the beginning suggest that this is going to be a real Star Wars film, but believe me: that level is not quite reached . Strauss remains reasonably well upright in this nonsense, Ringwald (then a promising novice actress) falls hopelessly through the space basket as an extremely irritating brat, who helps the hero in his battle against the otherwise perfectly English speaking aliens. The only consolation is that in the eighties I got them from the local video store in terms of looks really of worse quality, B-grade science fiction was the order of the day then, so with that in mind this one may be somewhat okay.

I was pleasantly surprised. I thought I was seeing a real B-movie but the result was definitely above the average B-movie and above my own expectations. Visually it was (except for the intro scene) even a big surprise. The set designs are beautiful to look at and give the film something comic-like. I could appreciate this. Also the use of color filters gives something unearthly that fits well with a SF film. The makers also went filming outside and that also pays off better than painted backgrounds. And then Michael Ironside who is doing well again as the bad guy. Genius figure that Overdog What was disappointing of course was the story that can be summarized in two sentences and Peter Strauss and Molly Ringwald are not exactly actors that I got into. But come on.. there is enough good to see. 3*
