Fantastic acting indeed by Walken, damn. He therefore has the ideal owl head for it, but what a feeling and mimicry he throws in. Must say that his character is also well written: self-mockery, skeptical, paranoia, cynical and with the necessary humor. Much more credible than when characters are just scared and overdramatic from the start. Fuck The Fourth Kind.

I really like the first part of the movie. Pretty uncomfortable and convincing, even though I'm not into alien abduction. The audio is also quite strong, only the recurring music (by Eric Clapton?) I think is out of place.

After an hour or so, it unfortunately falls when the aliens get too much screen time and are stupid, really too bad. Fortunately, there are still beautiful surrealistic scenes that are somewhat reminiscent of Lynch and Jacob's Ladder, but the general vibe is less (scary).

It's a shame, it was heading for four stars or more, now barely 3.5*. Nevertheless, a good film that is strangely little known, definitely recommended for people with an interest in aliens, their "impact on people" and serious acting.

Childish film from the last century

Seen last night on prime

I was laughing more than shaking with fear. The author of the book was, in my opinion, in a midlife crisis
