A Swiss inspiration from Miike?

Yes, I keep saying it: You hear very little about films from Switzerland, let alone SF. Only Cargo is still fresh in my memory and this work quickly caught my attention. A film called Polder, from Switzerland, with Japanese influences.

The beginning is still quite difficult to understand; perhaps also because the subtitles were missing and that Swiss German is really a bit different. It is still quite experimental and vague and the pace seems to be quite slow. Nice virtual craftsmanship of the Swiss alpine landscape and the combination with Japanese feudalism and many switches between black and white and futuristic fluorescent color filters, even though you can see that it didn't really cost much. Only in the last quarter does the pace seem to slow down a bit and there is room for action.

An interesting concept that is still a long time coming in practice and it is not exactly known where it will go, but the idea itself is not bad.

Reasonable.
