Back to the Future remains a timeless film. Extremely charming, smooth and for all ages. What struck me this time was how tight the film is, there are only a few grams of fat to be found. In addition, the film is really packed with foreshadowing. From the very first seconds of the film you see elements that will return later in the sets, in the backgrounds and in all the dialogue sentences. Within minutes, we've seen Marty play the guitar, talk about his father, and money is being raised for the clock tower in the background. The film is easy to follow with half an eye, but if you want to get all the references and elements you have to pay attention; there is something of significance in every corner. It sometimes comes across as a bit explanatory, but fortunately it is not disturbing.

The film is indeed smooth and amusing, but Back to the Future only really becomes fun in the 50s. The fact is already interesting; what would it be like to meet your parents at your own age? In Marty's case, he comes across the cute Lea Thompson, the goofy Crispin Glover and the one-dimensional bully Thomas Wilson. Back to the Future is full of colorful characters, often balancing on the border between believable characters and completely cartoonish characters. Michael J. Fox plays a strong lead, although Marty McFly is not really a rebellious rocker believably. Perhaps even more fun is the grimace of Lloyd as inventor Doc. Equipped with the catchy tunes of Huey Lewis, this colorful film of almost two hours flies by with 140 kilometers as if it were only half an hour.

4.5 stars.

Back to the Future is the ultimate form of popcorn entertainment as it was once intended. The film offers everything you expect from a film in this segment. Action, adventure, science fiction and a dash of coming of age... It offers even more than I would like. The film is timeless in its design and unparalleled, perhaps only because of the sequel. The film is the first part of the famous trilogy. It manages to entertain me time and time again and, together with a small group of chosen ones, quite rightly belongs to one of the best trilogies ever conjured up on the white screen.

5.0*

Fantastic film with a lot of humor (I love the scene with Goldie Wilson! Not only because of the conversation between George, Marty and Goldie, but also that look from George to Marty. ) and surprising twists. The scenes are so good that every time I see them again I empathize with the characters because of the convincing acting. I've seen this movie countless times and never tire of it, it deserves 5 stars!
