The first three quarters of an hour I thought this was a nice romcom to watch. Not very original or with high-quality acting or so, but that's not what this genre is about for me. I just want to be able to enjoy what happens between the characters and I have to be able to feel the chemistry. In that respect, it was all successful.
Unfortunately, things went wrong for me when she confessed on television that she had made up the whole cow story, that there was no doctor and that she had only done this because of heartbreakt. But I thought it was put down in such a clumsy way. The dramatic way she ran to go after Eddie. I thought it was a bit too fake. And that kiss at the end.... that didn't make me hot or cold either. I've seen way better ones. Too bad, because I was completely in the first part.

Nice little thing. This is mainly due to the playing of Judd and Jackman, because otherwise Someone Like You is as conventional and predictable as it can be. Director Goldwyn compares men to cows, and of course Judd (who just got dumped) runs off with that. And it is also picked up by the media, which ensures that you no longer take the story so seriously. But Judd and womanizer Jackman are a nice couple who give you something. Still the most important thing in these kinds of films.
