Bridget Jones is thirty-two, smokes bonkers, drinks at a fast rate, her love life seems to be in a permanent crisis and she's still single and - as if it wasn't bad enough herself - is constantly reminded of that by her family and friends. She wants to bring change in her life. Her New Year's resolutions include losing weight drastically and looking for a nice, sensible man. The clumsy Bridget wants to get a grip on her life, but of course she doesn't achieve her goals effortlessly. She buys a diary in which she writes down all her experiences. Her boss Daniel Cleaver is an attractive man. She flirts with him, but has doubts. When she wants to stick to her intentions, the choice doesn't seem so difficult, but still...
