Lovers and Lollipops plot
Though largely content with the current lot in her life, New York widow Ann feels her teenage daughter Peggy needs a father. Ann begins dating Larry, an old friend who has just returned to New York after working in South America. Peggy seems to get along well with Larry at first, but when she learns that Ann and Larry are thinking about getting married, her resentment grows. She makes Larry's life with her and her mother increasingly difficult.
