Kyô no Kira-kun plot
Ninon and Yuiji live near each other, are in the same class at school, but have never spoken to each other. Yuiji is one of the popular boys in school. Ninon, on the other hand, is an introverted loner who has never had a boyfriend. By chance, during a conversation with her parents, she learned that Yuiji has only a year to live due to a serious condition. When Ninon is humiliated by a classmate at school one day, Yuiji stands up for her. Not much later, Yuiji confesses to her that he is afraid of dying alone and lonely. Ninon promises to stay by his side until the end.
