The niece of a British aristocrat falls in love with the butler. Her aunt, Lady Christabel Beauclark, is an avid bird conservation financier. Both in England and abroad. The butler, in turn, has a crush on her, his mistress. When Lady Christabel has to give up her 'bird hobby' because of the war, she has her hands full with all these love affairs.
