Der Weg zu Isabel plot

Before World War II, the German landowner Manfred Corner (Ewald Balser) had a relationship with a French aristocrat. She was expecting a child from him at the time, but the war separated them. The mother died when the child, a girl, died. Some twenty years later, Manfred hires a lawyer to start a search for his daughter. However, he knows neither name nor her whereabouts. The trail eventually leads to Marseille where singer Isabelle (Hilde Krahl) lives.
