Carol Delbridge lives on a small island in the Bahamas with her parents. The island's only natural resource is salt and the owner is Adrian who inherited the island. Adrian is looking for a girlfriend, but the few women on the island have been driven mad by the unbelievable dullness of life. Adrian decides to court Carol.
