It is 1942. Because of the Second World War, rubber is a valuable raw material. Eddie Delaney is a second lieutenant in the army, as well as a private investigator. Eddy springs into action when his father, Police Sergeant Timothy J. Delaney, is shot by rubber-industry blackmailers. With the help of his brave girlfriend and radio disc jockey Linda Ward and police lieutenant William "Bill" Decker, Eddy hunts down the blackmailers. Eddie, Linda and Bill encounter a variety of criminals in their quest, including Marty Clark and the unscrupulous businessman and owner of the nightclub 'The Spot', John J. Underwood.
