Murder at the Vanities plot
"MURDER STALKS IN THE MIDST OF LOVELINESS!"
Police detective Bill Murdock investigates a series of murders during the premiere of a new edition of the Vanities show. When the private detective Sadie Evans is found murdered, Murdock thinks that the killer can be traced from the music titles. When variety artist Rita Rose is the next dead, Murdock suspects that young artist Ann Ware is the next victim. Murdock must now quickly find the killer or murderess before he can disappear among the departing visitors before the end of the show.
