The Company of Wolves plot

"The Desire...The Fantasy...The Nightmare."

Bizarre fantasy about a grandmother who tells her granddaughter all kinds of fairy tales and other folkloric stories about werewolves with continuous eyebrows, disappearing lovers and the like. Of course, the fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood is also included. In fact, all stories are about losing innocence and the fear and hunger for sexuality.

Finally seen it again after all these years thanks to alexspyforever
I think it's been over 20 years and my opinion hasn't changed. But that is often the case, fairly firm in my initial judgment. Positive is the atmosphere, the decors and the beautiful transformations. The story has something, but sometimes also has its flaws. Then I think of strange transitions, even if they are only dream images. But fantasy also allows this.
It is nice that the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood is incorporated in it in a stubborn way. It could have been a bit spicier in the field of confrontations (I think especially of the easy ending at grandma's) and in the field of horror. I also found the final scene to be rather simplistic. Symbolism trumps here 6.5/10
