Oh boy, triple yawn. This was a really long, sleep-inducing sit. None of the characters add anything to the film and I would have wished them a quick, painful death just to get rid of them. The killer is made of cardboard, really boring and not creepy AT ALL. Sure, a few more titty shots, but even those weren't worth it.

The whole nightmare thing at the beginning quickly became unbearable to me and I cursed myself that if someone didn't die soon, I would turn off the movie. Ultimately I didn't, but I kept looking anyway. I know women can be hysterical and weird creatures sometimes, but do they really have to be THAT stupid? That leading actress also irritated me to no end, and not just because she reminded me of my dad 30 years ago. Not that he looked that feminine, but she really was half a man. I think it must have happened more often in those days, with those frumpy bourgeoisie.

After seeing this film I remember why I am generally a 'remake girl'.

Elements from previous genre classics have been emptied and crammed into an hour and 13 minutes. I enjoyed myself! Nice atmosphere, great music. I also think the gore is okay. Nice..

Extremely boring, annoying and incomprehensible. These are the three core concepts that can be used to describe director Carol Frank's work, which later also had two sequels. I can't say I understand the expansion, because qualitatively Sorority House Massacre is about the poorest thing you can find. The first 45 minutes consist of a combination of drama and fantasy, through which some uninteresting murderer occasionally walks through. The structure is lacking and gives the impression that the screenplay was not finished by the time filming started, and it is simply not that interesting to follow. I assume that most viewers wait until the actual chopping begins, but that is also depicted rather poorly by Frank. The murders look easy to put together and show little creativity, but at least something finally happens during the final phase. That certainly cannot be said about the first half, which quickly makes a film like this a real test to get through.
