Terry Richmond enters the town of Shelby Springs with a simple but urgent mission: post bail for his cousin and save him from impending danger. But when Terry's life savings are wrongfully confiscated by the police, he must face local police chief Sandy Burnne and his combat-ready officers. Excellent film about a man on his way to pay bail for his cousin. The film starts off well with a strong opening. Great setting for and especially well cast, with Aaron Pierre making the biggest impression in the lead role. It could have been a bit shorter, but the tension is maintained well. A small 4.0 stars.

Excitingly constructed, very atmospherically presented First Blood-like thriller, which unfortunately fizzles out a bit towards the end. Too bad, because until then there is a lot to enjoy. Aaron Pierre is wonderfully stoic in the cool leading role and Don Johnson has a great supporting role as a corrupt sheriff. Camera work, editing and dialogues are of a high standard. The film apparently had the necessary problems during the production process (such as having to replace lead actor John Boyega), but fortunately none of this is noticeable in the final film.

reasonable action film that at the beginning is a bit like first blood (same story)
a black man pitted against a corrupt police force.
The film starts off quite slow, so it takes a while before the real action starts.
really only the last half hour.
The ending could have been worked out much better...too bad, there really could have been more in it.
