Sequel that is better than the first part. There's a bit more humor, more gore (and some creative scenes) and even dumber teens. The actors can't do much and the dialogues sometimes make you laugh, but it's still quite an entertaining horror (partly because the filmmakers were aware of this) with a nice '80s atmosphere.

What a nice job!

Not seen any other part and therefore not burdened with the inevitable urge and compulsion to compare.

In terms of cinematography and acting, it is not very good. The fun comes from the spontaneous and fresh appearance of the film. The fun comes first. Just good entertainment. Not too difficult. Nothing more than a one-layer story without complicated side paths or deeper message. Uncomplicated entertainment that is fun to watch.

Yes, nice job. There is constant movement. There is continuous action. Barely any sinking moments. Hardly any delaying philosophical or psychological reflections. Everything for sailing. It moves. It's alive. It sparkles.

A very pleasant demon too. Not necessarily scary, but a sinister character with a lot of body. Also with a delightfully macabre comic touch. The other characters are less impressive. Type of student and victim. Not very interesting. A nice exception is a nun, who stands out from the gray mass by a little more color. Furthermore, the film has no memorable characters.

The special effects are a bit dated, but not disturbing. Overall very watchable. The gore looks good. Obviously a bit exaggerated, but not to the point of ridiculous. Not too. As a result, the balance between comedy and horror is well preserved and things do not veer into slapstick scenes. It remains controlled, uncontrolled.

Nice.

This horror film from director Brian Trenchard-Smith takes a long time to get going, but the second half is entertaining enough to partly compensate for that. It's a pity that a lot of time is taken to tell the story, while the characters are little more than walking caricatures. It is completely uninteresting to learn more about their background and the extremely poor acting certainly does not help. Fortunately, the film ultimately pulls out all the stops and delivers with fun practical effects and a pleasant pace. The variation in make-up and the deliciously dirty murders look nice, but cannot disguise the fact that the whole thing lasts far too long. The lack of acting talent also prevents the characters from becoming and/or remaining memorable.
