"Hostile. Work. Environment."
Derek Cho (Steven Yeun) works as a lawyer at a successful law firm. He is about to be fired when a life-threatening virus suddenly breaks out in the building. The government immediately intervenes and closes the entire building to protect the outside world. Panic strikes among the employees who are now locked up together. Derek, together with Melanie (Samara Weaving), a disgruntled client, decides to forge a bloody road to the top floor to confront his corrupt employers with all the consequences that entails.

Reasonable film for the Sunday afternoon of December 31.
Just entertaining and watching a movie without thinking too much...this is very suitable for that.
It is indeed somewhat reminiscent of The Belko experiment, but I thought this one was a bit better.
I found Samara Weaving very enjoyable to watch....if Margot Robbie ever gives up her role as Harley Quinn, here is her replacement.
Otherwise a nice movie.

Series will catch up.
These types of videos work less well because of the many series. It's all a bit shorter than, for example, an Ash vs Evil Dead (all eps together). It doesn't make much of a difference and you can still watch series with some breaks in between. But in terms of fun, gore, fun, Ash is much better and more fun. This all felt a bit outdated. The idea is still nice at first. But in the end you see the makers fighting with the playing time. Shit it had to be 90 minutes. You hear them think. This would have worked much better in a 30 minute episode format. Now it's rattling on all sides. It doesn't help that we are dealing with series actors here. Yeun doesn't do a bad job, but it is still a bit what distinguishes the film and series from a slightly more a-list cast, but that is not the case here. What remains is also a somewhat stale dialogue. About her top 3 bands. It all felt a bit outdated cool. For someone who already thinks Tarantino is outdated, I have to admit that he even conjures up some nicer dialogue.
In terms of fun it is never a good B-movie and in terms of cool it is never a good A-movie.
Stuck in the middle.

The action scenes often look good and bloody, but the story itself was not interesting at all.
Nice to see Steven Yeun (Glenn from Walking Dead) here who is cast in his role. Entertaining video, but expectations were higher. 6/10
