Full Circle plot
"She had no one to play with for thirty years..."
When her daughter Katy chokes on a piece of apple and threatens to choke, Julia Lofting tries to save her by performing an impromptu tracheotomy, but things go wrong and the girl dies. After the funeral, Julia has a nervous breakdown and is committed to an institution for a while. When she is released, she decides to break up with her bossy husband Magnus.

Terrible movie. I just read the book, and it's scary, suspenseful, and you can empathize with the characters. None of that is the case here. Moreover, the story makes no sense at all. Ugh, a huge disappointment.
