Special film that is completely carried by the ability to distinguish between reality and madness. And I must admit that the puzzle pieces do not fit completely at the end and that questions remain unanswered. The hallucinations that are frequently present make that you as a viewer, just like the main character, can no longer distinguish between reality and fantasy. The ending does give you a hint, but really providing clarity is something else. Maybe on a second attempt?
Also nice is the fact that the real first names of the five actors in the film are simply swapped. Susannah York plays Cathryn and Cathryn Harrison plays Susannah. A fascinating idea that fits the theme of the film. The location is beautiful and really gives a feeling of abandonment. York plays her role well and is constantly in the picture. The music and sound fragments also contribute positively and, together with the beautiful setting, create a nasty atmosphere that fits the film. It is remarkable that despite the curiosity about what is real and what is not, the film does not really become exciting. 7/10

Good film in which a woman can no longer distinguish what is real and what is not. A bit vague and sometimes a bit long-winded. Apart from the ending, the film also lacks some tension. Still a good film because it knows how to intrigue and also because of the beautiful camera work and the effective music by John Williams. Furthermore, the leading role of Susannah York is worth mentioning.

Everyone in this movie is dead I read on IMBD from someone who left a review. That's nice to hear! I haven't checked if that's true but I trust the man.

Images is an intriguing, quite intelligent, obscure horror film. Although this is a film that will appeal more to someone who likes psychological films than to Saw 6. Although everyone knows that Saw 7 is one of the better ones in that series... Wink emotion.

Images is a film about a woman who hears things that aren't there and encounters people who aren't there. The main character even encounters herself several times. Is this a realistic view of people with delusions or who are in a psychosis? I find that hard to say. I don't know if this is based on real events. In any case, this is an interesting film that is also quite original aesthetically. I once saw that film by Roeg but I don't really remember that film and I wasn't a fan of it.

The best scene of the film is in the beginning when the couple drives up a mountain and looks down at the house. The woman looks at the house where they are going to stay and sees herself standing in front of the house and loading stuff from the car into the house. Great scene. It reminds me of Black Mirror or reminds me of a philosophical SF film. That scene is also difficult to interpret because you don't know who the real Cathryn is of the two but that doesn't really matter. Best scene of the film but there are more good scenes to come. The natural environment in Ireland is used where a surreal atmosphere is created by means of alienated music. Love it!

I do see the end in that one man is real and she really kills him while she actually wants to shoot herself or the illusion she has that she sees herself. That happened earlier with the camera.
