Strange that these two gentlemen, Derek Lee and Clif Prowse, have left it at that for the time being. This film is still quite original and more than entertaining. And that despite 1. The well-known found footage camera work, I did not like it more often in the past, but as already mentioned below by fellow MM'rs, it works out well here, also don't do it for the sake of doing it, it disturbs never, quality is fine, well it just seems well done here. Secondly, vampire movies, also more often, are not my thing, but these two gentlemen combine these two things into a more than watchable and quite fascinating whole, which in itself is very successful in my eyes and still deserves a round of applause. The beginning was a bit hesitant for me, but the film became enjoyable fairly quickly and I even thought the ending was more than successful. A 6/10 for this combination is really a nice score of mines two.

Very tasty.

Afflicted is a breath of fresh air in a kind of horror that's been chewed up for nearly a century. You can of course expect this if you give two enthusiastic directors just enough budget to do their own thing. That's what Lee and Prowse have done here, and how.

In terms of story, this film may not belong to the most original work, but in terms of execution it certainly is. Everything is filmed as if it were some kind of diary from Lee. The gentlemen don't have a very good excuse to film, but I'm glad they do because they film pretty cool things together. In addition, it also helps that both gentlemen can act well.

The film has a high tempo at all times, making it a very smooth film as a whole. It looks very nice and the film guarantees something special every 5 minutes. It never really holds itself back and that's nice, because even on a budget, the directors of this film can achieve great things through strong effects and wonderful use of the camera.

The horror looks good and is also nice and nasty, yet it's the finale itself that gives just that little push when we see Lee running through the streets. Only in the last minutes does the film take a somewhat pitiful path when the female vampire appears for a moment but otherwise I think it is amazing what the team behind this film has achieved.

Entertaining, visually impressive and well acted. Afflicted is one of the better works in the context of found footage. More enthusiastic, faster and more impressive than a lot of similar films. Then it's a shame that the directors never got to work again, because I really wish them the best.

Watched this horror movie and it wasn't wrong. Have a nice and smooth start. When it becomes clear what is going on, I thought it was a little less. The unknown cast certainly didn't do badly and the found footage principle was good here.

A good first part, the second part was a little less my thing.
