"The outback can be crazy this time of year."
To look for real Australian life, the campers Rutger and Katarina leave the tourist route. They hitchhike to the awe-inspiring Wolf Creek Crater. A place that is also the hunting ground of the psychopathic hunter Mick Taylor. After an attack in the dead of night, the insane bushman pursues his prey and drives his victims insane. Good movie! I find this genre of horror movies the scariest because they are the most realistic. A serial killer in his own remote area!
I read it before: I find the actor too sympathetic for Mick Taylor. But that might just be the genius of casting. Because a sick serial killer like this has to look nice at first sight and then perform the sickest acts...
Very good movie except for the ending...very unrealistic that he releases it.

Pretty cool movie and especially for a second part..... I enjoyed watching both parts and never had a moment that I didn't like it. Film is reasonably well put together but I can imagine that the bad guy is annoying for some people. Still, the "hillbilly" is not as annoying as, for example, the cannibals at "wrong turn" but rather a crazy Australian farmer.
I found the torture of the victims as it should be in a good horror. I find my humor a bit different than usual....
Entertaining enough for me to give 4 stars...

Finally got to see Wolf Creek 2 on blu-ray tonight. It is the English import version of E One.
First something about the Blu-ray. Incredibly sharp, especially the day shots. Super. Sound also very good. If only all br's had this quality.
Now the movie.
To start with, a more than tasty opening scene. Hard and violent. The tone is set 
Until halfway through, the film is tense, brutal, hard and violent. incl. nice action with a cool Kenworth truck. So enjoy.
After that, unfortunately, the film collapses a bit.
The last twenty minutes are depressing in my eyes. Bland, very annoying "humour" and long-winded. The ending is also zero point nothing. Pity. It is clear to me that there will be a third part. May for me too.
If the last twenty minutes had been of the same quality as the rest of the film I would have rated the film 4.5 or 5 stars. Don't go further than 4.
I think part 2 is much better than part 1. You can see that they had a bigger budget available.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the blu-ray has an extra good making off of over 50 minutes. Usually I fast forward making offs but this one really had something to say.
