Heimsuchung plot
A house on the shore of a lake near Berlin witnesses a century of events that have reshaped the world around it: the rise of Nazism and the ravages of war, the Soviet occupation, the reunification of Germany, and the dawn of a new era. The home, too, bears the traces of each new regime. Generations come and go in the form of a Jewish family, an opportunistic architect and his wife, and an idealistic writer and her granddaughter.
