I'm hexy and I know it.

Was a bit disappointing, unfortunately. The three young witches at the beginning try a little too much to resemble their older version, although the girl who introduces Winifred does occasionally do something nice. I thought of Beaches.

Then suddenly there is a modern-looking Wiccan witch who passes the spellbook to Winifred, I thought it was all too easy-going. Later also with that black candle. The old candle has burned out and can no longer be lit, but hey no problem... here we have another black candle! Yes, I like it that way too.

Teenagers constantly arguing, which looks very tiring. Midler and her sisters are much softer this time around, less bitchy. I also had the feeling that the camera deliberately doesn't zoom in on their faces, which was the case with the first part. Mimicry is very important in comedy, so it's a shame it didn't show very well. The jokes are also of a significantly lower level than in '93.

Towards the end it gets very woke and moralizing. Parker, now suddenly having to stand up for himself, to Midler: "I'm not going to be called a jerk anymore!" ..the boy who laughs at the girls and is addressed.

The ending nevertheless had something moving, I thought, in the woods.

Strong story? No. Entertaining yes, because the 3 witches are 3 top actresses who are fun and funny to watch. And that makes up for the decor and the special effects and the atmosphere. They play the roles really well but the story is weak.

Watched both parts today, the first significantly better than part 2

therefore part 1 a six, so 3 stars.

part 2 a 5, 2.5 stars

Both parts are nice and there is nothing more to say about it

look at the credits at part 2, nice clip..
