"A kiss of love will break the spell"
Fantaghirò and Romualdo are still deeply in love, but also victims of horrible and bizarre magic. This time Fantaghirò must lift the horrible curse that turned Romualdo into a stone statue. Her kiss cannot bring him back to life. She tracks down the Black Sorceress, because she is the only one who knows the secret to making Romualdo flesh and blood again. However, it is the evil witch Xellesia who has turned Romualdo into an image, because her son Tarabas is in love with Fanthagirò.
