Tischlein, Deck Dich plot

A tailor sends his three lazy sons away to learn a trade. The three young men obey, learn a trade, and receive a special gift from their masters upon graduation. The oldest gets a table that can cover itself, including the most delicious delicacies. The other gets a donkey that can produce gold. And the youngest gets a bat as a present. However, the gifts of the two elders are stolen by a villainous innkeeper. The same innkeeper also has his eye on the youngest's club, but he shouldn't have done that.
