Mutter plot
Eight women between the ages of 30 and 75 tell about their lives and their role as mothers. However, the film only features actress Ange Engelke, who lip-syncs the texts while doing household chores or performing on stage. The common thread in the women's stories is that being a mother is an ambivalent experience.

Anke Engelke lip-synches the voices of eight women who talk about motherhood and relationships. Quite a nice concept, but this is really a bit of a struggle to get through. Engelke does a great job. Unfortunately, the stories are too different to find a common thread. It also remains a bit too fragmented.
