Anaglyph Tom (Tom with Puffy Cheeks) plot

In Anaglyph Tom, Ken Jacobs returns to the 1905 source for his 1969 structuralist film, Tom, Tom, the Piper's Son. In his earlier film, a cinematographic deconstruction, Jacobs re-photographed and manipulated a film fragment from the early days of film, penetrating the image to sublimate it. In Anaglyph Tom, the creator applies the anaglyph 3D process to the original images, making the experience of depth perception itself the subject of his continuous experiment.
